Introducing the first ever gravel tire released by Zipp, the brand new Tangente Course G40 is a purpose-built tubeless gravel/off pavement tire that provides smooth control and excellent ride quality on rough terrain. Featuring a chevron center-tread pattern for fast rolling speed over gravel and added XC mountain bike style shoulder knobs for added traction when you need to dig in.

The tire’s casing and bead-to-bead puncture protection is strong enough to provide an incredibly durable tire, yet supple enough to perform without impacting grip or rolling resistance. The 700x40mm width was carefully selected to be the most effective with its tread pattern, while also fulfilling riders’ preferences for wider tires for gravel riding. To top it off, the Tangente Course G40 is tubeless-ready for taking on loose gravel, single-track trails, dirt and gravel roads without worrying about flats thanks to excellent puncture resistance. The Tangente Course G40 features a stylish tan sidewall and performs exceptionally well with Zipp’s widest and most versatile rim, the Zipp 303s.

We were lucky to get a pair early and give them a test run before the release, so we mounted them on Tobin’s gravel bike and let him take on the trails giving these tires the full test. Check out the video to get Tobin’s review and get ready for the full release in April 2020!
